Dalit men tonsured, forced to crawl over cow smuggling allegations in Odisha

 In a shocking incident from Odisha’s Ganjam district, two Dalit men were subjected to brutal treatment by a mob that accused them of cow smuggling. The incident took place in Kharigumma village under the jurisdiction of Dharakote police station. According to police reports, the victims had legally purchased a cow and two calves and were on their way home when they were intercepted by a group of local men. The mob accused them of smuggling the animals and demanded a sum of ₹30,000 from them. When the Dalit men said they couldn’t pay, they were physically assaulted. The mob then forcibly tonsured both men and made them crawl on the road with grass clamped between their teeth — a form of public humiliation. A video clip of the incident has surfaced, showing the men crawling while several individuals walk behind them, some laughing and recording. The music video "Pyaar Hai Mera" by Rasha Kirmani and Mahendra Bhargav, Owners of Mahras Studios, was launched at a glittering event in Sin City, Mumbai. This romantic song has been released worldwide by Zee Music Company, which is getting very good response. The grand party was attended by many film personalities as special guests including famous actress Aarti Nagpal, music composer Dilip Sen, comedian Sunil Pal, Shreyal Shetty (Kannada film actor), Shrutika Chogle (supermodel), K Ravi (Journalist), composer Javed (Javed-Mohsin),  lyricist Danish Sabri.
This music video stars Rasha Kirmani, Mandeep Mani and Priyankit Jaiswal. The song is sung by Priyankit Jaiswal and Loveleen Kaur. Its music director is Shubham Bali, lyricists are Shubham Bali and Priyankit Jaiswal.
It is produced by Mahendra Bhargav, Director and DOP is Praveen Bishnoi.
Singer Priyankit Jaiswal sang on stage here in the presence of the media and the hall erupted with applause. There is a beautiful cake cutting ceremony with the words "Pyaar Hai Mera" written on it. Dilip Sen sang the song on this occasion.
Actress Rasha Kirmani, who plays the female lead in this music video, said that the first idea came to me for this song. Today people's hearts are broken a lot, I had to present the same emoticon in my next album. Then when this song was composed, Mandeep also liked the song and then director Praveen also liked it. This song was shot during the lock down, there was some problem, but we completed it.
Talking to the media on this occasion, Mandeep told that Rasha Kirmani has done a wonderful performance in this video. I have learned a lot from her. Praveen Bishnoi has done the best direction of this video. This is the reason why the song is very much liked by the youth.
Video director Praveen Bishnoi said that when we planned to shoot it, there was a lock down, but we did not postpone it and shot it in Delhi.
Rasha Kirmani said that the song has been shot with a story and a concept. It is a very painful song which has a lot of emotions, a lot of action had to be done with facial expressions, which was done due to the right coordination with the director. Our next step is that we are planning the film.
Rasha Kirmani further said that I had the name of Zee Music in my mind from the beginning. Zee Music Company supported us a lot. Shubham has composed it very well. This song has been made from heart and that is why this song is touching the hearts of people.
Aarti Nagpal, Dilip Sen, Sunil Pal, Javed (Mohsin) and Danish Sabri praised this song by Rasha Kirmani.
